The shape of time is an attempt to design and make a philosophical game. We hope to use the game to present the philosophical reflection on modern time, show the process that the contemporary sense of time derails into atomic time, and give some methods that may save time: including but not limited to space, instant, death, and duration.

《时间的形状 The Shape of Time》是设计与制作哲学游戏的一次尝试。在这个游戏中我希望以游戏来呈现对现代时间的哲学性反思,展现当代的时间感脱轨为原子式时间的过程,并给出了一些或能从其中挽救出凝思时间的方法:包括但不限于空间、瞬间、死亡与绵延。
游戏创作中不少内容的灵感得益于一些哲学和艺术的阅读,比如布列松(Henri Cartier-Bresson)的决定性瞬间,柏格森的绵延,海德格尔的「向死而在」,胡塞尔的时间结构「滞留Pretention」,斯蒂格勒的第三持存,姜宇辉老师的论文,韩炳哲的《时间的味道》中对于脱轨的现代时间的描述等等。 目前开放的这个版本还是简单修改后的版本,并非正式版本,正式版本可能会在节后推出,并且可能会考虑加一个开发者评论版本,来解释一下每一关的设计和对应的一些哲学想法与设计想法。
在很早之前NExT Studios就开始有推进游戏与哲学的碰撞,在2020年底的时候就参加了华东师范大学哲学系举办的《“游戏致/至死”——游戏与哲学一日谈》。
而在2021年中我们也就这哲学与游戏的话题思考制作了两期电台节目,与华东师范大学的哲学系博导姜宇辉老师深度进行了两次沟通:

而后来我们也将老师邀请到NExT Studios工作室中来,录制和讨论了第二期播客,关于更具体的制作「哲学游戏」的具体操作的可能性。
今天我们同样参与了20201年底由同济大学/华东师范大学的第二界跨界游戏学术工作坊︱拒绝在/再玩:游戏的精神生态学 ,并且进行了关于「过程式修辞」(Nik)和具体的「哲学游戏可能性」(Zitao YE)的主题分享。

inspiring short poems! great work!
it's GCORES or GAMECORES, plural form with the s :) not G-core.
resolution can be decreased a bit so all can been shown in a single screen on a browser on pc.
controls are a bit anooying tho for the click and drag part. dont know what to do for the first playthru.

The Annoying I guess is the Compress Time Part, Right?
I'll try to find some more intuitive interactive way.
